EVP, Chief Information Officer
As Chief Information Officer, Mr. Ashok Singh is responsible for the overall technology direction and initiatives within PharmaCord. In this role, he drives the strategic direction, development and refinement of our innovative technology platform and tools used to support and enhance our operations.
Mr. Singh is highly respected for his immense industry knowledge in applying technology to solve complex problems in healthcare, having served in several information technology executive roles for companies that span the healthcare continuum. His deep understanding of the patient journey enables him to design solutions that are fully integrated across all stakeholders. Mr. Singh also has a strong background in aligning a company’s technology objectives and roadmap to its corporate strategy and leading information technology organizations in developing mission-critical systems. At PharmaCord, his close partnership with all aspects of operations has ensured the rapid development of a unique and innovative technology platform that serves as a key differentiator for PharmaCord in the marketplace.
Before joining PharmaCord, Mr. Singh was the Chief Information Officer at Omnicare, Inc., a former Fortune 500 healthcare services company, where he was a key member of the executive team reporting directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer. At Omnicare, he moved rapidly upon joining the executive team to develop and execute on a technology strategy that improved the company’s efficiency, strengthened its security profile and optimized the company’s service offering. As part of this comprehensive technology plan, he laid the foundation for consolidating Omnicare’s disparate pharmacy systems that would yield $75 million in annual savings, representing a double-digit reduction in the company’s total operating expenses. He also successfully developed and administered a business process outsourcing initiative that was designed to generate a 10 percent cost efficiency improvement while establishing a more flexible model to better support the company’s broader strategic initiatives. Additionally, Mr. Singh enhanced Omnicare’s security profile to a new level through a multitude of projects focused on data encryption, network security, data loss prevention, and robust patching.
Prior to Omnicare, he served as Senior Vice President, Information Technology for Transunion Healthcare where he had responsibility for information technology strategy and planning, program management, software development, data analytics and healthcare informatics, and infrastructure services. In this role, Mr. Singh developed a Big Data platform that generated revenues of over $20 million in less than two years following its launch. Mr. Singh also served as Senior Vice President of Information Technology at Aurora Health Care, an integrated health system employing over 30,000 employees, where had full responsibility for all applications that supported Aurora’s network of care facilities. While overseeing a team of more than 400 full-time employees, he led the 3-year, $200 million deployment of Epic Electronic Health Record system across the entire Aurora system, marking it one of the most transformative technology deployments in the provider healthcare space. He has also served as Vice President of IT, Pharmacy & Corporate Systems at CVS Health, a Fortune 10 healthcare services company.
Mr. Singh holds a bachelor’s degree in technology from Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Tulane University, and a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
