Staff Pharmacist, Pharmacy Operations

The position of Staff Pharmacist will perform various duties related to the fulfillment of prescription orders.


The Staff Pharmacist, Fulfillment Operations responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversees the activities of pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks
  • Organizes workload, sets priorities, completes assignments in a timely manner and utilizes resources appropriately while complying with department program standards
  • Performs all duties and functions in compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Conforms with and supports department quality assurance and improvement guidelines


The candidate must possess the following:

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in good standing in state of KY
  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree
  • Passion for specialty drugs and the members they treat
  • Experience in analysis and problem-solving
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations on clinical and business topics
  • Flexible, dynamic personality with strong influencing skills, who works well in a team environment and is also an individual contributor
  • Ability to assimilate, analyze, draw conclusions, and make recommendations from complex data
  • Ability to organize and lead matrixed teams, work in teams and perform in an individual capacity to achieve goals and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PBM or Managed Care experience
  • High volume Retail Pharmacy experience
